Why any of this matters to you
Juries hear a number and treat it as a fact of nature. It is not. It is the output of an instrument that was calibrated by a person, loaded by a person, and interpreted by a person, in a lab with a workload and a backlog.
None of that means the result is wrong. It means the result is checkable, and almost nobody checks. I request the raw data on every case where the State's evidence came out of a machine, in DWI files and in drug cases both.
Sometimes the data confirms what the report says and I tell my client so. Honesty about that is part of why the ones I do fight are worth fighting.

Born in Orange. Tried cases across Texas. Now in two counties.
I was born and raised in Orange, went to Texas A&M University School of Law, practiced in Dallas, and came home in 2016 to open this firm. Since then I have handled criminal defense and injury cases across Southeast Texas.
In 2026 I opened a second office in Conroe to serve Montgomery County. Same practice, same approach, a courthouse two and a half hours west of the first one.
When you call this firm, you get me. Not an intake department, not an associate you meet on the courthouse steps. That is a deliberate limit on how many cases I take.

All of it, including the parts you would rather leave out. I cannot defend a version of events that falls apart when the video comes in. This office is not a place where you get judged, and what you tell me is privileged from the first phone call.
Understand what you are actually facing
Not the worst case you read online at two in the morning. The realistic range, the likely timeline, what the county you are in tends to do with cases like yours, and where the pressure points are.
Build the file
Discovery requests, video, the lab package if there is one, witnesses, and any expert the case needs. This is the slow part and it is where cases are won, long before anybody walks into a courtroom.
Resolve it or try it
Most cases settle. The ones that settle well settle because the State knows the file is ready for a jury. You decide, with real information in front of you. I will give you my recommendation and I will tell you plainly when I disagree with your choice.
